1986 20-10 win over Nebraska.

One funny thing. After Nebraska turned it over on downs with 16 seconds left, fans went for the goalposts. The refs flagged us 15 yards for "unsportsmanlike conduct". They actually moved us back 15 yards with 16 seconds left. The PA kept saying, "please stay off the field, there are still 16 seconds remaining."

Man I miss the days of tearing down the goalposts after a huge win. Not just CU, but any team. It used to be such a big deal and part of college football if your team won a big game, hell even teams like Nebraska and Oklahoma used to do it. Nebraska did it against us in 92. You don't see it anymore. Now it's just CU fans rushing the field after ANY win. Thats not so special.

I did not realize Nebraska did that in 1992. I left Lincoln Memorial with about 8 minutes left in the pouring rain..... It was the only time I ever left a CU game early.

ya I was there. They paraded the posts out of the stadium. That was the worst husker crowd I have ever seen.

I remember thinking, "OMG - they will give Nebraska the win by forfeit!!". That was one of two games that I did make the trip down to the field (62-36 was the other) ... but only after the final kneeldown by Mark Hatcher!

me as well. I was pelted with hot dog and someone threw some beer on me... i tried to lick it from my jacket but I think the rain washed it off first...

it started my hatred for them and made me promise that I would return to Lincoln until we won.... it was a long 10 years!

I save the piss bombs for the 80 year old Nebraska ladies. I like throwing the marshmellow filled nails at husker children
