So what can we win if Hawk stays at the helm?

I think Tech beats us handily. Our DBs are beat up and we can't adjust to passing teams.

KSU should easily handle us.

OU will have us wearing dresses and 6 inch pumps.

Nu will probably do the same, or close enough.

Now ISU is up and down this year and it is at CU, so CU might win.

Same with KU. Up and down, but CU MIGHT be able to get a road win.

So at best I see 5-7.

Question is; while I don't think we get Mac as a interm coach, could he make a big enough difference to get to a bowl game? Could Mac plus these coaches find a way to beat Tech, KSU and or NU and make a bowl game?

Would Caral taking Hawks influence away as an interm solution maybe let the other coaches open up and take chances that maybe they want to take?

Assuming D2D is here the rest of the season we maybe win one more game. Probably ISU at home.

If they fire the assclown Monday we have a chance of wining 2 and maybe 3 more games.

You nailed it. If Hawk finishes out, probably a 4 or 5 win season. It would be tough for anyone to get things turned around in one game. Don't think 3 more wins and a bowl game would be out of the question though, if Mac came back for the rest of the year.

What can we win?

Last place.

It's tough to lose to continual losers like Baylor. But Coach Hawk rewards my faith in him.

Tech-W
OU-L
KU-W
ISU-L
KSU-L
NU-L

5-7

You think we lose to ISU at home and win at KU? I actually thought after being 3-1 that they would get 6 wins for sure, wondered if they could get 7 or 8, now I think they won't even reach 6 wins. The last 2 weeks just killed any chance for a respectable season for once in hawk's atrocious tenure.

I guess what I am looking for is if you guys think that getting Cabral or Mac as an interm solution-- with the expectiation that Mac might, but not garunteed, become permanent HC-- well, would either one be able to make a difference this year? IF so, we should do it. The bowl game could make the buyout money better. If not, then I guess they ride it out. Unless Mac is named the HC right away, bringing him in early would probably not change recruting much anyway.

What do we win? 1 year supply of pixie dust, 10 free sessions of leap frog lessons and first place for worst team in the big 12.

It's tough to say, but I think it's worth the risk.

Watching the continued inept decisions of the head coach and then listening to his flippant remarks on everything just pisses me off--and I'd like to believe there's a significant number of players who are sick of his sh!t and sick of him putting them in unwinnable situations.

I still think the players are out there to win in spite of their coaches efforts to hold them back. With all the mistakes last night and the D getting worked by RG3, they still were in a position to win. I also remember Miller chasing down the Mizzou DB on the interception with the game out of hand. Most of our players are still showing heart and effort, even though their HC has checked out and quit on them.

I will always have those players backs.

SO then do you think Mac would take the interm HC job? Is it wise to give him the HC now without doing a real search? I love Mac and I would be ok with it, but I know most would like to see who is interested first before making that call. If so, and Mac is "HC now or nothing" (I am making that up, don't think Mac would be that way) then should we just try to get Cabral to take over? Or let Kiesaw do it?

Keisau? He's awful. He has somehow managed to forget that you can actually PASS the ball on first and second down. The playcalling the last 2 weeks, especially in the red zone has been awful. Not a fan of keisau anymore.

I really hope the Buffs win 6 and get to a bowl. The Seniors deserve it.

^^THIS^^
But if the current regime remains at the helm, it won't happen.
To answer the original question of, "What do we win if Hawk remains?"
The answer: a big goose egg in wins for the remainder of the season, a tally of three total wins for the season, undisputed possession of last place in the Big 12 for our final year, and ultimately in the end - nothing. ABSOLUTELY. FREAKING. NOTHING.

...unless you consider a new coach a win. Personally, I'd rather experience that "win" right. the. f**k. NOW!

Umm we can continue to go 3-9 or 4-8 every year but it's ok because we do things the right way? Id like to see the seniors go to a bowl as well but I hope Hawk wont be here to see it.

If you look at our remaining schedule with the current waterhead retard as coach, there's no such thing as a "sure thing" victory. There's 2 maybe's:
ISU and KU. Possibly a third with TT. If you lose the current deadweight and bring in Coach Mac, I think that his ability to motivate turns those 2 maybes into sure things, makes a possible TT into a "more than likely" and KSU into a "strong probabilty" and even turns NU into a "really competitive".

So, yes, I DO think it'd make a difference this year. I think the addition of Coach Mac turns a 4-8 season into a 7-5 season.

This is what I think too. Question is; will Mac do it as an interm thing so we can do a complete HC search to see all of the options CU has, or will he just only come in now if he is the permanent HC named right now? I don't know know that it is in CU's best interests to give him the HC job without doing a full search, although I would love Mac to be here. I would just like to know what our options really are.

Why is the complete head coach search starting now? If Bohn wanted DII gone last year, why would he wait so long for this search? Are they asleep at the wheel up there?
