I don't know what the announced attendance was, but we had another good turnout with pretty good atmosphere imo. Students were late, as usual, but people are still going to the games.... for now.

People leaving were trying to get a 'Fire Hawkins' chant going, but the fans leaving seemed totally beat down and dejected. Heard one older lady who you wouldn't guess of being much a football person walking out going 'They have got to get someone in here who can recruit kids who can play. They should bring back Coach Mac'

Sounds like a smart lady.

It was such a great night for football. The only boos I heard were a smattering the first time hawkins went for two and missed.

many years ago, i was at Abo's on the Hill after a Tuesday night CU hoops loss to a crap KSU team at the CEC. a dad and his young son were in line in front of me for a slice. they had been to the game as well since both were wearing CU gear. son says to dad: "dad, how 'come we always lose?". Dad looked like he got punched in the stomach. that made me feel utterly even more depressed remembering my dad taking me to Bill Blair era games in the early 80's. that's about how i feel, this AM.

we lost to Baylor at home.

It looked like a good crowd. I especially liked the booing of the play calls when we got to the 10 lol.

The crowd did not like the two-point attempt - very vocal the first time, but sort of beaten down by the second time.

And everyone there is to blame for Dan still being here. As long as they keep getting over about 40K there is no reason to make a change. They don't care about winning, all they want is your dollar.

Instead of a Blackout or Goldout, we need to have a Dan out. No one shows up till they get rid of that dildo!

I don't have a problem with people deciding to sit out the rest of the Hawkins era, but the reality is that it can make a bad situation worse. For instance, Kenny Farrow a RB from TX visited for the game and committed to the Buffs today. Despite our poor play, we had a great crowd Saturday -- Perhaps Kenny would have still chosen CU, but a half empty stadium is going to be a lot less impressive in that regard. Still, I'm with you on the frustration and I can't look forward to the TT game Saturday seeing yet another team's offense lighting up the Folsom scoreboard

did you guys notice the boos last night....

49K won't happen again this year

Pfft. People who claim to have heard boos clearly weren't listening. I went back and listened, and I couldn't have heard more than 200 boos all night. Also, most of those people were saying "booo-urns,' so the actual number of boos was in the teens.

People still go to the games because of the great tailgating tradition at CU. No other reason.

I am fed up with this. The powers that be better sack up and can these jokers now! I certainly don't want Dave Logan as our next coach, but Mullen would lay a beat down on us.

i was thinking of rushing the field to tackle hawkins
You wouldn't have made it, he was the first in the locker room. From section 2 I left right when the game ended to yell at Hawk as they went by, but when I got down to the ramp area I never saw him... only about 1/4 of the players made it to the locker at the time. Tyler did the post game for us. Hawk bailed on the team

Ehh, if Dan likes him, the next coach probably won't. Anyone who we sign before the new coach comes in will have slim odds of being here long term. When coaching changes are made there are typically lots of transfers and turnover on the team very quickly. Frankly, I am hoping Dan doesn't screw us with this year's recruiting class like Ricardo did when he left.

Haha, you are trying to tell me about reality as you cheer on Dan? Go look up our record the last 5 years... That is reality! Until people stop supporting him, he will be here. And the school is doing nothing more than relying on your love of the school to keep him here!

Huh? Are you some sort of reporter?

What on Earth makes you think anyone on this site supports Hawkins? I had season tickets last year and gave them up this year. I am only going to games where I know I can get deals/deeply discounted tickets. Just because they get 49K, doesn't mean they are not feeling a pinch. But then you know this already, or at least any reasonable person should.

I got season tickets this year for $125. They wouldn't be selling tickets that cheap if they weren't hurting. They get fans in there because they are making it really cheap to do so.
