If DII Danny gets canned before the season is over and Mac takes over and goes in to Lincoln and beats Nebraska one last time?

Ya it's a stretch, but just a thought that just crossed my mind.

It's the whole reason I want Mac in right now. Gives us the best chance at a final win vs NU. Ok, the ONLY chance.

At least the team would be ready to play - I would love to hear the pep talks and game day speech in that lockeroom.

That's actually not that much of a stretch if Mac is ear-marked as the next coach, but it would take a few losses by DII Danny in the next few weeks in order to make the first part of that happen.

It would be fantastic. I don't see any reason to wait. Unfortunately our administration does.

That worked well for Snyder and KSU and you can't hold a candle to KSU's team.

Does anyone really know what Hawk's playbook contains? My suspicion is that it is written in crayon and looks something like this: run on 1st down for 1 yard. Run fake, screen right for -2 yards. Incompletion. 20 yard punt. Looked dazed and confused on the sideline. Put Cody in for the remainder of the game. Watch the severance money roll in after November.

3 things

1. Nebraska is overatted, one deminsional and will be "easy" to defend for a good defense.
2. I would bet CU is about equal to K-state, we probably beat them actually.
3. CU still sucks

Actually, I think the ironic/funny thing would be for CU to hire Mac, only to have him come back and beat KSU after Gramps Snyder was singing his praises. That's a far more likely scenario in my mind.

i'd love to go out with a win over the fuskers. ... probably won't happen. but, it would be a very good way to leave.

i hope the team manages it, along with a bowl appearance. this, coupled with the termination of this no-talent staff, would be the best we could hope for this season.

I brought this up at last week's game and the season Ticket holder right next to us (he's a retired big time CEO) said that Mac has made it known that he is NOT interested in coaching with someone else's staff. He would want to start clean and have time to carefully select his own guys.

This guy sounded 100% sure that there is ZERO chance that Mac would take the helm before the end of the season for this reason.

You're giving him way too much credit. I'm willing to bet it looks very much like an etch-a-sketch.
