So McKnight could be the backup QB?..

What an epic failure this staff has been at stocking the QB position. TH is a decent, not great, B12 QB. We've all seen what a string of three yard out patterns can do from CH, which is why TH is playing. Behind him? Two true frosh who may not be ready, and problably shouldn't get their RS's burned in the same manner TH got screwed over, so let's plug in Scotty ( who might actually be pretty good comparably) or Kyle Cefalo. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, Scotty and Kyle are Hawk homies. This is a joke.

Slota leaves, Lobato leaves after "volunteering" to go to S, Clark Evans leaves after "Volunteering" to go to TE, whiffed on Jordan Wynn...I wonder, actaully, no I don't, this staff is a joke.

I'd love to see Scotty play some QB. It would be epically hilarious if we won a couple games with him as our QB.

Probably Hawk stoking the fire so he actually gets fired. We don't want him here and he doesn't want to be here. Where's the walk-on kid that went to UNC when we need him? We could really use the depth at tight end.

Although, I would say this wouldn't be fair to Scotty. I think he has a shot to get signed to a pre-season roster as a WR next year. He needs to be able to showcase his WR skills as much as possible.

Hirshman's redshirt had better be burned before we try anything this stupid.

Does anyone know who on the practice squad acted as Robert Griffin in the "preparations" for Baylor?

He'd throw to himself to extend that nation leading streak of 42 consecutive games with a catch.

Unreal. He actually said it this way.

"Scotty could do it I bet you," Kiesau said. "Just cause he knows this offense so well."

I bet you! Fantastic! Brilliant!

No to burning redshirt. to who was RGIII at practice...we probably put someone slow in there because we clearly underestimated his speed.

I'm just wondering if we have any Patrick Williams' around, as in guys who were option QBs in high school but are currently playing another position at CU.

Can't believe so many are opposed to bringing in Hirschman this year - tell me what is the difference between redshirting him this year or next season? Is he going to be the starter next year, or is he going to backup Hansen? Because the only reason you would keep him redshirted is because you think he is going to be a 4 year starter, beginning with next season.

Not too terribly bad of an idea... I seriously think Scotty might be our best bet for a qb to finish the season! It would be unfair to burn Hirschman's RS and I have no confidence in CH. I'd love to hear Scotty's thoughts.

Burning a red-shirt is not preferable, but if they committed to starting Nick the rest of the games, I'd say it's worth it. At some point, the kid needs experience. No time like a wasted season to work out the kinks. If a player can help win a few games, no matter how bad we are, I think it's always worth the red-shirt. After all, we recruit players so that they can help us win games.

Plus, we have that highly touted kid from Valor coming in next year too, for future QB support.

We hope. Does a 5-7 finish and the elimination of Danny and staff who recruited him help or hurt that signing? Or does letting the Hawk stay another year and seeing the QB mess now scare him away more?

It's too bad Moten is suspended indefinitely, because that's a guy with HS QB experience who could come in and at least run the zone read.
