The What to do about Hawkins poll in the Post got 6000+ votes with "fire him now" having a slight lead over "fire him after the season". And proving that some people still do not understand anything, 521 voters support letting him coach through the end of his contract in two years. Who are these idiots?

huskers and various graduates from Pac-12 schools (other than CU).

but you assume the huskers can?

You've got to admit--those guys love polls (and yes, I meant that literally, as well as at least two homonyms).

Seriously. Somebody throws a poll out there--you name it, classiest fans, best stadium, coolest mascot, best team ever etc... those guys are all over it. To me that's evidence of some basic reading skills.

I'm surprised we didn't see about a million votes supporting Coach Hawkins' continued destruc - er, stay with CU Football. That would be all opponents, now and in the future.

The fact that we haven't seen such widespread sentiment is probably due to their consideration that CU Football is now so far down that it's irrelevant to pay attention to polls. "We have many years of CU Football being the doormat - why waste the effort voting?" is now the prevailing sentiment among opponents.

Well, that's fine. Let 'em think that. Once we start bringing in more of Calif's #1 running backs, we'll show 'em.
