Arkansas interest but CU might be able to get in on this one.

Rep to the first person who can get me a photo of Brasfield for his profile.

This kicker/punter is for real. Ready to punt and kickoff right away. Hitting 5 sec hangs and avg 45 yd a punt with 51 punts! Has the talent to go beyond college, and more importantly the work ethic. UofArk told him at their kicking camp, you are better than our kicker and punter! Going to work with him and 2 others in Missouri in a couple weeks.

Rationally - we need to look at more kickers. But we seem to already have an inordinate amount of schollies tied up with em

The question we should be asking is who is this Chris Sullens kid? :smile2:
http://www.ozarksportszone.com/2010/12/06/2010-news-leader-all-ozarks-football/

Best I can tell, Sullen's the "top punter" in that conference. Every district/conference names an all-conference kicker and punter; doesn't tell you if he's got Ray Guy qualities, or just the best of the local group. Couldn't find any stats.
Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. —

The 2010 all-district football teams for Class 3 and 5 have been released. Locally, Camdenton, Versailles, Osage and Eldon all had at least one player named all-district. Two teams were made for Class 3 and just one for Class 5.

Class 5 All District
Punter–Chris Sullens, sr. 5-11, 180, Camdenton.
Class 3 All District
Punter–Maurice Moyer 5-10, 165, jr., Versailles.
However, Sullens is a Kohl’s student:

I actually think a LOT of Kohl's Kicking program. They work pretty hard to evaluate players on what they do in camp, and I know they won't rank any punters who can't get punts off in a certain amount of time, period. The staff has one stop watch from the snap to when it gets booted, and a second stop watch for the hangtime. Good program. But still doesn't tell us much about what Sullens can, or can't do.

Jake Brasfield, all state MO. All conference yada yada. This sullens kid had 11 punts? Not much. Brasfield 50+ punts with avg of 46... He can beat out any punter. I worked with him last week, WOW. 5.1 hangs as senior. Expect 5.2+ hangs by next fall. Kid is for real NFL prospect. Also, can kickoff deep. Could FG kick with the best. His ball gets up faster than most NFL kickers, but I want him to concentrate on punting.

My point on Sullens was that every conference has an all-conference kicker and punter - it doesn't mean a whole lot in every case.

Even if had 3-4, if we found the next Mason Crosby would you offer? How many games have been lost because of bad kicking over the last 4 years? Momentum swings, losses and points left on the field have cost us a lot more than another scholarship out. I'm not saying you have 10 kickers on scholarship, but 5 out 85 may not be terrible. Definitely not good, but not terrible.

I'm just sick of terrible punts and missed fgs. I think they've cost us more than a RB that never sees the field, imo.
