Gonzales just finished visiting Oregon State this weekend and did not commit. However, in his post-visit interview he expressed interest in scheduling an OV to Colorado. Also, all his reviews are as an OL but he seems to like the idea of playing defense.

Even though Gonzales wasn’t ready to commit, he was ready to narrow his list down a bit.

“Right now it is the three schools I have visited… ASU, OSU and Nebraska,” said Gonzales. “Then Colorado and Utah. I am trying to set up visits with them the next two weekends.”

That guy is the fittest OL recruit I've seen in a while. If he visits, I like our chances. I certainly don't fear NU taking Calif guys away from us from the offensive side of the ball. Of course, Pelini will tell him he can start at DT and go to the NFL after three years to get his commitment.....

No news on what he did this last weekend, since ESPN reported he wasn't going to UW (other services not showing anything).

Still shows a Nebraska visit next week....

Bo is probably correct if he says DE instead.

I wish that you'd make a comment that made sense once in a while. Your criticisms are tiresome. Should we fire the staff now? Maybe a new one can get a top 5 class in the last week.

Your complaining about my criticisms are tiresome.....It will be over soon.

The staff hasn't had much time for recruiting relationships and hawk and staff stopped recruiting furthering the problem. How's that? I never asked for a top 5 recruiting class, let's keep it real shall we?

Sykos new defensive set a 6-5. 6 DTs and 5 DEs. Got the run stopped and the pass rush taken care of but a little weak on the coverage thing.

Just kidding, I actually agree that good defensive teams start up front with quality D-linemen. The problem is that big guys who can play are rare and usually get snapped up early in the process. What is left are guys who have some kind of serious deficiency, development projects, and these are either risky or you simply accept guys who will never be that good.

For Embry to come in this late in the process it would be hard to expect much this year. He hasn't had the time to develop the relationships with the top flight guys and hasn't had the time to find the diamonds in the rough on the project guys, and those guys still have stiff competition for their services.

I hope that we can turn one or two good D-linemen for this class but I don't want see us take guys just to take guys, we need a class full of guys who can play and contribute.

Ignore is your friend.

Because the head coach was hired on Dec 4, his staff trickled in because they are good coaches and had actual jobs, and the dead period closely followed the hiring of the head coach, they 'suck'. Some bitter losers should stay away from the recruiting forum.

**** off noob. When you can quote actual facts instead of making up ****, maybe you should stay away.

Can't read your crap, psychotic, and don't care what you think. This staff came in with no time on the clock and they're doing a magnificent job.

When they get a full year to work, they'll be among the top recruiters in the country. And they'll take the kids and win.

Good, You add nothing so I could care less. Didn't learn from hawk and co. did you. "Top recruiters in the country'. You're the same guy who said the same about hawk. Nuff said.

Magnificent is a bit over the top, yes? The guy's just making a valid point that we are short DL and don't seem to be making headway. Ignore him if you want, frankly I'm tired of reading the same old criticism.... of syko!

Whatever. Not required reading. This staff has done an exceptional job of pulling in good football players in the extremely short time frame they've had to work in. There's no doubt at all that they would like to have d linemen in this class. Is some moron says the staff sucks, I'll call that idiot out.

Magnificent.

Let us know when someone says the staff sucks, until then, keep making **** up. I'm taking a day off from the board tomorrow, I apologize for the ranting.
