THE GAME: The University of Colorado plays its final regular sea- son road game in the Big 12 Conference, fittingly at long-time rival University of Nebraska on Wednesday, March 2, at 6:05 p.m. at the Bob Devaney Center in Lincoln.

BROADCAST: Wednesday’s game will be broadcast live on FSN Rocky Mountain. Greg Sharpe will have the play-by-play and Brenda VanLengen will provide the color for this FSN Midwest pro- duced broadcast. Wednesday’s game will be broadcast on KVCU AM 1190, due to a conflict with the CU men’s game. There will be no pregame show, and the broadcast will begin at the top of the hour (6 p.m.). Mike Rice will have the play-by-play. Live internet audio is available on CUBuffs.com, through the BuffsRadio free subscription.

OPENING TIP: A win on Wednesday would give Colorado 15 regular season wins, thus locking in at least a .500 regular season record and eligibilty for postseason play for the first time since 2008.

THE BUFFALOES: Colorado is 14-13 overall and in sole posses- sion of ninth place in the Big 12 standings at 5-9.

All that you need to know is that if the Buffs win, they go to 15-13. This guarantees they won't have a losing record and will be eligible for the postseason WNIT.

I have one question about this ... The opening game of the season (not the exhibition game but the real first game) was against a D2 team. Some stats count only games against D1 teams. Does anyone know if the WNIT would count that D2 win? If not, then they could still have a losing record unless they beat Baylor (doubtful) or win a game in the Big 12 tournament.

It counts as a win for everything but the RPI and some other computer measures. NCAA & WNIT count all wins.

Got the women on the TV and the men on the CPU. Fun but very stressful.

Go Buffs!

Traded layups. Up 1 with 10 seconds.

Spears to the line with 3.7 seconds left.

Spears money from the line. Up 64-61. Nebraska ball with under 3.7 seconds and inbounding full court.

:dance2:

Hopefully that clinched a women's NIT birth...(God typing NIT made me throw up in my mouth a little bit just now)

Good job ladies

Great game tonight! Spears, Blythe, etc playing tough and finishing on the road against the Fuskers!

Lappe is impressing more and more. Her team is actually showing tremendous strides and improving through out the season. Turnovers are down, rebounds are up and toughness is much improved. I think CU got the right coach and CU basketball (mens and womens) is looking up. Both teams will be in a post season tournament. That hasn't happened at CU very often.

And you know, sitting here about to post this it hit me...Lappe, Boyle and Embree, CU is the dream job for all three! This could be huge for CU athletics. Is it too much to ask for all three to be rediculously successful?:smile2:

Go Buffs

What a game! Way to play tough at the end and not fold as a KMM coached team likely would have done. And how about that buzzer-beater heave from Chucky Jeffrey to end the first half!!!!!! She hadn't even gotten to the mid court line. At the time, it gave the Buffs a 10 point lead but those 3 points ended up being the winning margin.
