Baylor freshman Perry Jones is suspended for Wednesday night's Big 12 tournament opener against Oklahoma and could be finished for the season, according to multiple media outlets.

The NCAA ordered the suspension for the rest of the season for Jones receiving improper benefits, according to multiple reports. Baylor is appealing the suspension, Yahoo! Sports reported.

Jones, who is averaging 13.8 points and 7.2 rebounds per game for the Bears, has been projected as a lottery pick if he opts to enter the NBA draft, so this could spell the end of his Baylor career.

Much obliged, good sir.....now hopefully this helps OU get the W and our Buffs are the lone rangers vying for that 6th Big 12 spot

on UT, ATM, OSU, and OU boards they've been complaining about below board recruiting by Drew for a couple years.

that said, i think the more likely scenario is still MU buries Baylor tomorrow in front of a highly partisan Tiger crowd. MU won the reg season game in Columbia by 18.

Funny. I just had a conversation with a friend after the CU-Texas game who believed that Drew was clean as can be. This was because of a suggestion that I made that there is no way that Baylor's recruiting can be clean. Who the hell wants to go to Waco?

i agree its likely but its also likely we lose by 15.

Wouldn't Baylor play Tejas tomorrow?

you are right. i misread a bracket earlier today i guess.

I think you are right, however, in that Mizzou will ride the partisan crowd. They've been pretty disappointing this year, but they could easily get into the semis with a win over aTm

How else would they be able to convince the 4th best player in the nation (2011) and 3rd best (2012) to go to wacky Waco? Does not compute.

the history of the Big 8 is full of Norm Stewart "runs" in the conference tournament....which wasn't until the early 90's people started to put 2 and 2 together.

it's just not Jones, they've got a bench full of top 150 guys.

baylorfans is the worst board ever. pop up ads and you have to rescroll to actual content every time you change pages. and they are dumb as rocks.

Without doubt. One of the dumbest message boards in terms of both users and format. They are painfully stooopiddd over there.

Drew has been rumored to be a very seedy recruiter for years now. It's very unfortunate...because Baylor could have been a feel good story after the murder scandal.

...not trying to brag...but I guess I'm going to be a douche and say that I did call this. I'm sort of happy it happened, because there's no room for it.

...now granted...I was gravely ignorant of Martin's past in that post.

Baylor, a fine institution for higher education.

like i posted earlier in this thread, Drew has been allegedly dirty for a long time according to ATM, UT, OU, OSU boards. one thing those hillbilly asshats can agree on.b he and Rick Barnes had some kind of very public beef about "cheating" a couple years ago. i sort of like Barnes, he's got some cheat rumors around him as well. paying for recruits....like Texas has never done it....

It's times like this I go to BaylorFans.com. The fans on that site are, IMO, the WORST

It's not surprising that they are cheating, they are in Texas after all and they are a private school with a sense of entitlement second to none.

What is surprising is that they can cheat as much as they do and still not be very good. If you cheat as much as they do you better win a lot, they don't.
