If they can get 2 more wins they'll be Dancing. They won tonight, and along with it the Big Sky regular season title. With that 1st place they get a 1st round bye in the Big Sky Tournament, and get to play the semifinals and finals @home. Should be mentioned they're 12-0 @home this season.

That's great for them!

Goes to show what Tad can do. His system works. He recruited that roster and built that team from nothing. Nice to see them continue winning after he left. Good for basketball on the front range.

Thanks for the reminder. I find myself rooting for the Bears in all of their sports. I know quite a few kids up there, and they are all great kids.

Boyle's experience guiding the Bears not long after they joined the Big Sky should help us in the PAC-12 move.

They got off to a slow start, but they caught up and have been trading the lead with Montana for the last few minutes. Tied at 22 with little over 5 to play in the first.

Man this would be cool if they could pull this off.

Looks like the boys in NoCo are going dancing!

57-50 lead with under a minute left.

Montana is bigger, quicker, more athletic. Last night Northern Arizona was quicker and more athletic.

UNC was fundamentally much more sound. They play tough defense, they pass the ball well, they keep their heads together under pressure.

A lot of the stuff that Tad has talked about bringing to Colorado. It's a little tougher to do in a major conference but this makes you feel good about Boyle as a coach.

UNC kids deserve a lot of credit as well. They played their hearts out and earned their trophy.

I think that they will get a pretty low seed and end up with a game against one of the Big East teams or somebody like that. One and done since they just don't have the talent to compete but they will have great memories.

Congrats to the first of 2 Colorado representatives in the NCAA. Lets meet up in the finals and bring a championship home!

...that would've been crazy if CSU closed out better and all three teams got in...oh well. I guess we're technically not in yet either, so for the time being, congrats to UNC.

Big Sky champ, never been there before, no wins against winning teams from major conferences. UNC is a probable for the play-in games.

One of the brackets I have seen has the Greeley gang playing BYU in the Denver.

It would be cool if both CU and UNC made it far enough in the tourney to play each other.

I looked at how UNC played and they are similar to what the Buffs played in Boyle's first year. They love to get to the foul line and they are pretty good at the line...that Kaba (#10) didn't have a good night shooting FTs but UNC made enough to outlast the Grizzles.

I wonder how good UNC will be next season without their sharpshooting guard? I'll have to follow Bear basketball a little bit more but not at the cost of the mighty Buffaloes.

Wouldn't it be sweet if UNC and CU made the NCAA tourney while those CSU slackeys are stuck in NIT-land?

Two weeks ago CSU would have been the favorite to be in the tourney. Since then they have fallen apart. I think that they have problems advancing in the NIT. No explaining when a team just stops winning games.

I don't think the play-in game is that bad if you're a 16 seed. Look, you aren't gonna beat a 1 seed, so it's a nice chance to get a little success. UNC isn't necessarily going to be in the play-in game though. I'd say right now it might be UNC-Asheville and Arkansas-Little Rock, and we've still got some other candidates playing their conference tournaments from conferences like the MEAC, Southland, etc.

It's nice to see the "real" UNC get in the tournament. :smile2:

That's cool to see at least on team from CO in the tourney, now hopefully we will make it 2!
