No one cares per se. It's just hilarious that Bzdelik is responsible for one of the worst basketball seasons by a team in a major conference in the modern era.

I believe it, most of them wanted him gone before he even coached a game. Absolute failure by their A.D. to fire Gaudio after WF reached the second round last year without having a homerun replacement lined up. Instead he just goes and hires his friend. WF fans naturally consider the ACC the center of the basketball universe, and hiring a coach from a Big12 school that went 36-58 in three years was mindblowing. Fair or not, their measuring stick for success is UNC/Duke. Not sure if they have any major talent coming in, but he won't make it past midseason if they are as uncompetitive as this year.

Patton fired after a terrible run at NIU. Buzz failing spectacularly at Wake Forest. And when's the last time anybody saw Joe Harrington, Tom Miller or Tom Apke?

Maybe there's a reason CU hasn't had much basketball success for a while.

So yes, Tad did recruit my favorite Buff in Roberson, but we'd be nowhere without Bz's recruiting. So even if you did leave for supposedly greener pastures, thanks anyway Jeff!

Thank McClain a lot for the player recruiting. Bz got Higgins due to his NBA relationship, but McClain got pretty much everyone else.

At the end of the day, Bz left because he felt there was a lack support from the admissions/admin people in getting borderline recruits admitted.

I have no ill feelings towards Bz. Patton on the other hand.......

Good point. And consider this -- Boyle's best recruiting win might not have been Roberson. His ability to keep Burks when McClain didn't get the job might have been the coup of the off-season. So Alec may have signed under Buzz, but Boyle essentially had to recruit him again.
