IF we win the NIT

Do we get an automatic bid to the pre-season NIT?
We already committed to play in puerto rico I think. But I'm just curious, the PS NIT is the best pre-season tourney out there.

The 2010 pre-season NIT had Villanova, Tennessee and Wake Forest in it. Those had all been tourney teams the year before. I don't know if the 2011 field is set and I'd love to get into it (2 home games with a trip to MSG if we win them). But the only team I could find that's confirmed so far is UTSA.

I don't think the winner gets into the preseason NIT...I just checked and last year's postseason NIT champ was Dayton and this year they were not in the preseason NIT...

Dayton won the 2010 NIT but was not in the 2010-2011 NIT Season Tip-Off.... same with the previous two winners...

VCU really benefitted (RPI-wise) from being in the NIT Tip-Off this season.
