Washington DC Watch Party

the DC alum chapter does watch parties at the Light Horse Tavern in Old Town Alexandria, or sometimes Penn Quarter Sports Tavern downtown.

Welcome to both of you.

Two new members just to represent D.C.

While I've got you here, is it still called "DC Style" when a basketball player wears his socks pulled up?

"is it still called "DC Style" when a basketball player wears his socks pulled up?"
I've never heard that term before; couldn't tell you.

"Light Horse...cousin of Dark Horse?"
Not quite the same motif, but it's owned by a CU alum. They carry a lot of CO beers (Avery, Left Hand, Oskar Blues, Tommyknocker, etc).

Tommy Knocker!!! The strawberry soda used to be my favorite drink as a kid but I can't find it anywhere.

does anyone want to get together in Washington DC next Tuesday to watch the Buffs at MSG?

Here's a link for the football watch parties, but it has addresses and directions to The Light Horse. http://www.dcbuffs.org/wp/?page_id=6

I have to call Penn Quarter to see if they can take us. If there is a Caps game, that place gets over run with mullet-sporting hockey fans.

Light Horse...cousin of Dark Horse? McBuffin good name by the way.

Agreed - Welcome McBuffin! The Light Horse is named after "Light Horse" Harry Lee, a Revolutionary War general, AND as an homage to the Dark Horse.
