Scout 300 is out

Interesting list. A bit surprised to see both Thurston, Callahan, and Baylis above Miles. Also a bit surprised to see Thurston so high (just outside the top 100). Not that I do not think he is a great prospect, just thought it might take some time for him to get that high.

Overall, plenty of prospects we have offered and plenty of prospects we have really good shots at, but this staff will definitely have to earn it on the recruiting trail this year. Love the start thus far.

If we only get 2 or 3 off that list, we are in trouble. Big trouble.

really? we'd all like more, but 2 or 3 4/5 star kids in a class doesn't sound so unusual for where we are now. i expect a bump with Embree/EB both as recruiters and with their college and NFL cred....but, 3 seems about average and certainly not the end of the world if the rest of the class suits needs, has football players, and isn't a sackful of late gets from Fairview and "projects".

On the list are four Colorado players alone, along with several So Cal targets. If we are only land two or three, that means we either missed out on some of the in-state guys or completely struck out in So Cal on our top targets. I do not think it is an exaggeration to say that would be a poor job by the coaching staff if that happens.

10 is actually a realistic number. It's maybe on the sunny side, but it's very possible.

Since his brother is just down the road with the Broncos it would be a good idea to offer CA S Shaq Thompson who is the #1 rated DB in the country.

I don't see any reason why we can't land 10 of the top 300. I'm not sure that is even an accomplishment really.

Let's not go overboard. While I think 2-3 guys is low-balling, if we sign ten, it would certainly be an accomplishment and a good job by the coaching staff.

10 commits from 12 offers? i like the optimism from BB and Nik, but I don't know. I think a top 25-30 type class would be a good step forward. win some games, and revise that for the better. but, here in April...

The #45 rated player on the list WA OT Zach Banner has an offer from us for basketball but not football. I wonder if he will have to choose one sport or the other or be allowed to play both.

I posted earlier in the thread, that we have actually offered 37 on the list. 10 may be pushing it, but 2-3 is still low-balling IMO.

Most of the schools recruiting him are recruiting him for both sports.

i'd agree. but, the yield on offers is going to be pretty low for anyone not named UT or USC. i'd put an O/U around 4.5.

1. Arik Armstead (comitted to USC)
3. Andrus Peat (longshot)
5. Keith Marshall (longshot)
16. Stefon Diggs (we'll see where we stand after the visit for Junior Day)

50. Aziz ****tu (favors Stanford, but will take his time with the process)

What, exactly, is meant by "Schools of Interest?" Are those the schools the kid has listed or schools that have offered? I see that we are listed for 4 of the 33 five star kids. That isn't too shabby compared to last year, I don't believe.

Yes

You'd need to check the individual profiles to know which.
