I don't know how long it's been in the works. Considering he was All-State playing for Coach Mac's son and Coach Embo's brother, it's a safe bet we've been on this for a while. I didn't learn it until last night, though, while I was on my way to get a burrito.

Very nice. That video cracks me up tho, with the kids playing indoor soccer.

From the practice reports, this sounds like it was definitely needed. Welcome aboard!

Welcome to the BnG Keegan!!
This kid was in my math class in high school, one of the funniest/goofiest kids i know, and extremely smart. Really happy he is gonna be a Buff!!!

Talked to him at the scrimmage and he was still considering CSU, Nebraska, and Indiana at that point. He had gone to the CSU scrimmage the night before and joked about there being 60 people there. That seemed out, but as late as saturday he was still planning on visiting the other two.

I don't know much about what it takes to be a long snapper from a physical standpoint, but it seems to me he will need some time in the weight room to have much of a chance. 265 seems like a bit of a reach, and it is a soft 265 if that is right. His dad is also a coach and an absolute beast so I would bet he will come in as ready as a kid can be.

Welcome Keegan!!

Long snappers are generally very light, I learned this from other posters a few years ago. For instance, Mike Leach (longtime NFL long snapper) is only 6-2/240.

Heres some pictures from his facebook for the profile

I think Justin D, in 4 years at CU, might have reached 250. I seem to recall thinking that he was really light and prolly wouldn't make it in the "league". Lo and behold, the dude is snappin' for the Saints!!

Confirmation!!!

LaMar said he had a similar offer from Colorado State, not to mention scholarship offers from various Division-II schools. The Buffs, he said, were later to the recruiting game, but the wait was worth it.

"I didn`t really think much about CU going into recruiting because they said they had a long-snapper," LaMar said. "... But they became interested."

Thanks to Burrito Palazzo for finding the article.
