Castor 'defeated' by previous CU Buffs' staff

Geez, this is the most honest and intense I have seen players go after the old staff.

I will still shake in the shoes during every kick next season for fear of the last few years.
 
Mariscal and Torp seem to be good people to learn how to punt from. Loving this former player assistance.
 
I heard about a possible over kicking issue... never knew how bad it was. If what they are saying is accurate. Hawk was having them go 3x harder than a kicker should during a practice. I am glad to hear that castor is getting back into his grove and starting to get his accuracy back. Would be nice to not have to worry about kicking for once.
 
I have said it before, and I'll say it again, D II was a joke, and should have worn a mask when he went to the bank to cash his check.
 
Castor has made progress over the past month and has given the new coaching staff hope that he might be capable of winning the job in the fall. At worst, he will provide solid competition for incoming freshman Will Oliver.

i just want to stop hearing these stories... they are so infuriating.

Each one lights another fire... I know he was bad but this stuff coming out is worse than I could have imagined...
 
Let's hope that if the stories come out it does some good and no more kids will have their football dreams ruined by playing for that fraud.

In some ways I am glad these stories come out. 1st, it validates a lot of what I believed about the situation under the Hawkins regime. 2nd, it gives me hope because the problems were not endemic to CU but rather caused by incompetence. I thought things were bad under Hawkins but now that he is gone I see how really bad they were.

But at some point in time we all need to start looking ahead and I think that will come once the team starts playing games.

Validation is great, but I don't think there was much argument surrounding his incompetence. At least around here. Now, when I hear stories like this, it just makes me angry. I start to get pissed that he wasn't fired earlier. Then I start to think about how the press was polishing his knob when he first showed up and we got a lot of these same stories about GB. Remember hearing about how GB's weight training program was completely inferior? Bah. The fewer of these stories, the better as far as I'm concerned. They just get me riled up.

Yes but on other boards that is not true...I am amazed of some of the Hawk fans still around. It was like they blamed is on Barnett the last 5 years but you cannot blame Hawkins now that Embree is on board. Anyway once the season starts most of this will fade away.
