Welcome, SoCal.

What can you tell us about Christian? I'm assuming you know something on interest level or something if these were your first two posts.

Enjoyed the film. This is the kind of guy you need on your special teams. Did it all on the film and must have blocked a half dozen FGs. On defense, it's hard to tell at corner since the HS plays so much zone and Brown likes to do the man, press coverage on the outside. With the way he comes up and causes havoc around the line of scrimmage, I think the fit may be at the nickel spot. Check out the "welcome to football" shot he puts on the guy at just short of the 1:20 mark.

Hopefully he and Kyle Murphy will make a visit together. I'm really liking these San Clemente guys.

those combine numbers look legit. Rare to see a real 40 time out there. size is perfect for a brown nickel CB. Also, you can tell he loves to hit. Fantastic first step, needs to work on his 4th gear it seems (another reason he's a great nickel prospect). He brings the pain. Nice.

Hi Bufnik,

Came across your website recently and decided to join, you guys do a fantastic job on your recruiting coverage. I'm a huge football fan and have coached at the youth and high school levels in Orange County for the past 14 years. Very familiar with the South Coast League in South Orange County and have coached a number of kiids that are being recruited in the class of 2012. I live in San Clemente and have been following the 2012 class closely because they have a talented group of kids including Kyle Murphy and Travis Wilson. There are a few other kids that have been somewhat over shadowed by Wilson's and Murphey's recruiting mega status.

I believe Tober attended the session I skills Camp at CU over the summer.

San Clemente does play mostly Zone coverage, but he has the skills to play man. Excellent recovery speed, field awareness and reaction to the ball.

These are numbers from his sophomore year. He's a legit 5'81/2" to 5'9" and 170lbs.

He attended the Nike Combine and also the Nike Football Training Camp in LA over the summer:

Thanks for the info and the insight from your previous post.

Really hope you stick around and keep us informed on football in the OC.

Picking up more lower division offers. He'd be a very nice PWO for the Buffs.

Committed to walk on at USC

Congrats to him. One thing about USC's scholarship reductions is that it benefits their walk on program. Guys have a good shot at coming in as walk ons while they're at a 75 limit and then seeing themselves put on scholarship later on when it goes back up to 85 and can't be filled with a single class.
