And We take you to Manhattan KS

This is an NCAA dream. A mid/lower major school committing major league violations. KSU has sold three jerseys in the last decade, so it's not as if they're an NCAA cash cow. NCAA can prove how badass they are, while blatantly ignoring the link between various car dealerships and say Ohio State or even Oklahoma.

Huggy's dirty, no way! Dalonte Hill a little iffy....no way!

the same guy (Huggy Bear) who never graduated a player at Cincinatti...?

Where's Wally Judge when you need him? oh yeah, that's Frank Martin. you go Powercats....

What do you mean, it made perfect sense when KSU was pulling down top-rated recruiting classes. Who could've imagined saintly, drunken Bob Huggins would do something untoward?

I'd been hearing rumblings of jobs being handed out to AAU coaches for recruits for a while now. It's just finally ended up in the public record. 'Bout time.

Speaking of Dalonte Hill... http://articles.baltimoresun.com/20...0110517_1_mark-turgeon-bino-ranson-dave-telep

Say what you want about KSU, but they do have a great media guide cover this year.

would have been better if the bottom right face was used for all four. Since that is all he does anyway. Unless of course the University of Colorado is beating the wildcats in Boulder and he calls a timeout, at that point he doesn't say anything.

I have seen that excitement face a million times on to catch a predator. it is usually right before Chris Hansen walks in.

Passion face has cavities...he should floss more.

We can expect the NCAA to ream KjSU to protect the integrity of the student athlete on the NCAA's "We are for sale sliding scale of morality" rule.

Story about Huggy Bear recruiting: When he was at Cincy, a recruit had back to back visits from Mike Kryzewshefzerczeryeki and Huggy. Mikey went first, pitching Duke, the education and things most people look for in a University. Huggy walked in and said "If you want to got class, go see that guy, if you want to got to the NBA, come with me".

Huggy is a little like Switzer (except Barry won the big prize a couple times or so)....when he's got his criminal element, his teams play real good ball. i love the way Huggy's really good, NCAA choking teams would press you in the half court. long and tough D. you can't try and start your O inside the time-line.

i saw the Kenyon Martin team (the year Kmart gets hurt in the big east tournament but cincy is still a #1 seed) in person destroy a pretty good Kelvin Sampson OU team in Norman one year with my step-Dad OU hoops donor. that team was sick. with Martin hurt, Mateen Cleaves and MSU win the NC and no disrespect to Izzo, but that Cincy team was really really good with Martin. that's the best college team i've seen in person minus 90 UNLV and 88 OU.

anyway, and his hair is hilarious. i like hilarious coaching hair....Gene Keady, Lou Henson, Billy Tubbs....etc.

My favorite Tubbs moment --

even before my moms remarried a Sooner, i kinda liked Billy. he was reviled by CU fans for the "flipping off" incident in 83 or 84...but, hey? we hate everyone, what's the dif? the Big 8 used to be the most boring style of play conference in the world. a poor man's big 10. Billy and Norm Stewart and Johnny Orr made it an uptempo league with some great teams. Waymon Tisdale and Billy started beating Kansas and the old boys, and it was on. Jeff Grayer at ISU....could score the rock. Anthony Peeler, Doug Smith, Mookie Blaylock, etc. great hoops from the mid 80's to 1996. fittingly, we hired Tom Miller, a guy who thought the shot clock was a radical innovation....to counter Norm and Billy's score a 100 a game teams. Tom's dream game was 44-40 with some awesome two-handed bounce passes. by all accounts a great guy, but out of step with the times...

people forget but the Big 8 was sending 4-5 teams a year to the NCAA for a decade. half or more of the league.
