Early Signing Day Press Conference

Perry and Trujillo have a high chance of starting as true freshman it would seem. Have to see how they close out the rest of this class.
High chance of starting for Trujillo? I disagree. Near 100% chance of playing significant minutes as the 1st backup to either Abrams or Miller, yes. He needs to bulk up a bit between now and then (only 165 I believe) but he will be right behind those two. Perry will start like you said

Note that jumped out at me: the scat back is out.

Wow.

This? "He's a really good player and I think he's going to be good for us down the line."

Or this? "Reactionary athleticism...we recruit every day...everything about him is big...recruit, recruit, recruit...guys like that are hard to find...Jim Brown told me he didn't exhale until he retired...you always need big guys"

If we get half that on the field...

Just because you weigh 330 lbs does not mean you are going to dominate. I like the bigger size and emphasis, but CU is a long ways away from dominating.

True... but it does help you from getting thrown out the bar like we have in the past.

Regarding the recruiting class press conference, Tucker's tone was confident and positive. He addressed the weakness of the team immediately, the OL an DL. Everyone Buff fan saw what was wrong and Mac never seemed not prioritize these deficiencies and continued to recruit outside skill positions for years. Tucker addressed it in 2 weeks!

He criticized in the right way, too. He has always made sure to compliment the talent that is already here while he emphasizes needs and priorities.

Tucker's message to true freshmen coming in: "Be ready to play as a freshman. That's your mindset. I believe in playing guys when they're ready to play. We're going to put the best players on the field."

I am excited to see this, excited to see some young guys make a name for themselves.
I don't think MM was of this mindset.

No offense but every head coach says that. The "Nothing is handed but you will have an opportunity to start if you are good enough" line is used by everyone.

Yeah, when visiting a Colorado Buffs message board, you’re probably going to see Colorado fans reacting favorably to the things the new head coach says, generic coach speak, or not. Let us have this.

True, but on the lines it is pretty certain that if you weigh 260 you aren't going to dominate and that is where we were. Last few years I saw a lot of plays on both offense and defense where our lineman was in the right spot using the right technique and simply got run over by a bigger, stronger man.
