If we're looking for multiple Derrick White types to save us, we're doomed. He was the very essence of diamond in the rough, the rarest of finds.

This is going to be an interesting offseason ... Tad's never had to wade this deep into the transfer portal, and frankly, his track record is spotty at best. In his 14 years, these are the only transfers I can recall from “solid” basketball schools. We almost need this many guys in one year! -...

Well, this is gonna be the most depressing and/or exciting offseason in recent CU hoops history! I want to be optimistic about Diop and Dak ... but basically we've only see them 1. rotate the ball in the offense, 2. throw down the occasional alley oop, 3. get mostly worked on defense down low...

Glutton for punishment, I went back and watched the last 5 minutes. You often hear the phrase “he’s gonna be seeing that shot in his sleep” … it’s rare to see 3 of those in the last 3 minutes. KJ, Cody and Hadley all with can’t miss, warmup level wide open shots. I’m sure they will be staring at...

What a ride this last month has been. So proud of these Buffs and the grit and toughness they showed over and over. Just ran into a team that couldn’t miss today. And we missee 3 WIDE OPEN 3s in the last 3 minutes. That was it. Oh, and somehow couldn’t keep Kolek off his left hand, unreal...

Lucky to be down 11. Gotta figure they cool off, after shooting 68%. TDS has to figure it out now. Cody keeping us in it.

Random memory popped up in Facebook today: when the Buffs came to Seattle in 2015 to play Seattle U in the CBI … and lost. I played in bigger gyms at my little 3A high school (Cortez). Stands only on one side of the court. Concessions were at a table out in the hall. That was a true low point as...
  8. NCAA 2024 Tourney game thread - #10 seed MEN's Bball - 1st round game vs. #7 seed Florida (In Indianapolis; Friday, 3/22, 2:30 PM MT; TBS)

I've been thinking about this alot the last month or so as our rotation got tighter when Cody went down. The conventional wisdom is you want 8-9 guys, but that's not always the case, depending on conditioning and skill sets. If I've got 4-5 starters that can play basically the whole game without...

I agree ... and I still question whether he's a lotto pick. But in the meantime, he could be a critical piece of a magical run for us,

Looking at the two angles I've seen, of course KJ pushed off. But he didn't really extend the arm much, which is the obvious tell. It was more of an arm bar driving forward, so the defender's gonna fall back. Objectively, in that situation at that point in the game, that's a no-call scenario 98%...

With all the starters lighting it up, let's not overlook Cody's game today ... you can literally see energy and confidence coming back into him. He had to run the point quite a bit cuz of KJ fouls, and made some critical press break moves and decisions, passing and dribbling, late with the game...

How about Cody?!!? I’ve been down on him for awhile but have always believed he could be the X factor. Today was a nice step in that direction. He had to get some confidence back.

Can’t believe they didn’t call that push off, with all the ticky tack fouls they called.
