Had 68 tackles, seven pass deflections and five sacks as a 2012 junior at Gardena (Calif.) Serra. - Scout Profile

On Rivals, Adam is saying that Tucker recently achieved his qualifying test scores. Probably explains why things had been quiet on the recruiting front for Tucker since he got those Miami and ASU offers in April. He's reportedly high on CU and would be a steal. Have to wonder who is going to jump in at this point.

As a Houstonian, I'm required by law to root for anyone named Olajuwon. Hopefully he has some of the athleticism of the Houston version. Is it too early to patent his sack dance as "the dream shake"?

Fans of Sparq verified numbers won't be so excited about the 5.17 40 time and 4.66 shuttle. But, kid still looks like he can play ball to me.

I didn't post the 40 time because it's so low relative to the shuttle time (which wasn't all that good anyway). Looking at film and considering the fact that programs that recruit for speed like ASU and Miami offered and Oklahoma - another speed program - tried to get him in for an official visit tells me that his wheels are not a concern. In fact, we should hope that those SPARQ times scare others away.

Ed Orgeron has earned the benefit of the doubt on DL recruits. That guy does not make "token" offers.

Why?

So chalk this up as another loss if that USC offer is kept.

USC has their choice of 4 star DE's. Not sure why they would recruit a guy who is unranked. Also makes me wonder about that Miami offer. Suspicious = questioning an offer

I'm a little surprised he and Shay Fields would garner USC offers, but I don't think those programs are really just making offers for the hell of it either. Miami especially seems to be trying to establish a connection to some of the bigger high schools in SoCal (Crepsi, Serra, Chaminade to name a few).

True he may be getting interest, but not a full fledged offer. Perhaps they are also leveraging him in case their plan A doesn't work out.

To me this guy would be a plan X,Y, or Z for USC. Not a plan B based on the offer list and current ranking by services.

Why are the Trojans taking kids, without signing a head coach? Orgeron is an odd species. Is he trying to prove he should take over the program? Ed, we get it. You can recruit like nobody else. You are not a good head coach. USC needs a head coach, not a recruiting guru.
