Welcome to the Black and gold!!! Represent your state!

Welcome Shawn. Show em what you can do given this opportunity. Congrats!

:congrats:

Picked up a Northern Colorado offer so the kid has a free education option, or a walk-on option at CU among others.

Really like the kid who wants to test himself against the big boys. You can always transfer to UNC and be a star there. Hope he shows he belongs.

If you believe that you can play at the highest level and that is what you truly want to do then give it a try if you get an opportunity.

He isn't talking about paying for 4 years at CU, his first year will tell the story. After one season on the practice field he and the coaches will have a pretty good idea if he belongs or not. If he belongs then he can earn the scholly and the rest is paid for.

If it turns out that he doesn't have what it takes to play at that level he is still going to have the options at lower level programs. He will likely still have the UNC option, if not there are plenty of D2 schools in Colorado who would take a guy who was good enough to be a PWO at a PAC school.

What would suck for him is going through the rest of his life wishing and wondering if he should have tried it at the highest level before settling for the lower level offer.

Good points.

Teenagers should chase their dreams.

I'm thankful that CU is able to attract players of Berry's caliber to walk on. It enhances the program so much. And as any athlete will tell you with their teammates, it doesn't matter how you got there. All that matters is what you do once you get there.

It's been a while since I've been a teenager :wow:
