He originally said he wanted to go OOS for college. So we have a legit chance here despite the in-state offers

I can't imagine being an offensive lineman playing in the heat. I think that is why you see so many great OL come from the BiG.

Great point. Summer conditioning plus August/September practices have to be miserable for the big fellas in certain climates.

That's still just one dude.

Well, we have Middlemiss already. And Miller is going to grayshirt, effectively putting him in the 2015 class. Having a class of three OL with Middlemiss, Miller and Lynott wouldn't be too bad. But we need Lynott in the worst way now. It's critical.

We'll be okay, tough to get mad at kids who stay in state. I'll be quite cuffed if Lynott makes a similar decision to stay in state.

I wonder who the staff has in mind for backup plans.

Yeah. Time to send Jeffcoat back to El Paso to meet with Mr. Drennan and see who he can turn us on to!!

HCMM wants to put 8 linemen on the field in a few years, apparently. I'm for it. Go get him Gary!

Are we planning on some of our line recruits grayshirting? Generally, not a bad idea for that position.

It's been discussed on here before but IMO it's generally a bad idea to ask a player to grayshirt unless it's absolutely for the players own good (i.e. academic issues or injury).

Then again, Isaac Miller is grayshirting and I'm not sure he was dealing with injury or academic issues.

Gray shirting is good for 2-3 players total per class, not multiple players in the same position group.
