Committed to Oregon. Donte Williams is on a roll still, we will see if he can develop the corners this time around.

Listening to a Portland sports show today and they were giving all of the recruiting credit in the secondary to Keith Heyward. Sad that a Beaver is helping the Ducks.

He’s a big part of it as well but I think it’s safe to assume Donte is a contributing force for any recruit out of SoCal. For example, Heyward is the primary recruiter listed on 247 for Dollars and Criddell. However, both players mentioned Donte first when discussing relationships with the staff and Oregon’s 247 writer re-iterated that their commitments wouldn’t have been possible without Donte.

Oregon wanted his recruiting chops so bad that they initially hired him as their OLB coach before the 10th assistant, which would have been a (bigger) coaching disaster if that remained. But they just wanted to get him recruiting right away that badly and moved him to corners once everyone was hired.
