“They’re winning right now,” said Bachmeier, when asked what appeals about Colorado. “To me, everything else is pretty great about Colorado. Coach [Darrin] Chiaverini is doing great things over there. Coach [Mike] MacIntyre. 'Rice [Maurice Bell] talks about Colorado every day. They’re winning. They were the first to offer, so they’ll always be up there for me.”

“It’s looking like we will see a lot of SEC schools this summer. I may try and make a trip out to Colorado as well,” he said.

Fresno State offer with Tedford there means more than usual IMO. Sounds pretty positive early on.

He hangs in the pocket well, makes next level throws with great accuracy, and looks to be a pretty decent athlete as well, which should only improve over the next two years. Sounds like we'll be among his final choices.

Great news. Bachmeier is a big time prospect who is more athletic than his passing stats would suggest.

He has a top 4 of Boise State, Cal, Minnesota, and Oregon State (heh). Minnesota was the leader but it sounds like they are the leader for another 4* QB they are after and their 247 guy put in a crystal ball for Boise State. Sounds like he loves their system and coaches.

Sounds like Boise State is the current leader. Would love to see him in that offense. @nocoolnamejim

Thanks for the tip! We sure could use him.

We have former 4* commit Brett Rypien back for one more year, but after that the depth chart is wide open. The last time we signed a 4* commit (Ryp) he started as a true-freshman. So Hank might be attracted to the possibility of immediate playing time. Two out of the last three years we've had long-time QB commits flip less than a week before signing day. That combined with some transfers has left our cupboard a little bare and very young at the position behind Rypien.

On the other hand, we've loaded up in recent recruiting classes on solid offensive weapons to surround a QB with such as 4* WR commit Khalil Shakir in last year's class. And with Josh Allen out of Wyoming being projected to go in the 1st round of the NFL draft (a year after Carson Wentz out of North Dakota State went in the 1st round) Hank may be thinking that conference affiliation doesn't matter as much as it used to for QBs trying to make it to the NFL.

All speculation of course.

What is the latest on him? Still showing on Scout that he is “warm” on the B&G.
