Also was a state champion wrestler this year.

Ranked #14 in the nation at 195 lbs.

The one thing I don't like about HS wrestling for football players is that when they're not linemen wrestling heavyweight they end up having to cut a lot of weight at the end of football season and then work on gaining it back after wrestling season's over. There are positives with that on discipline and knowing your body, but it's tough. Once he's in college and done with wrestling I expect he'll easily get to a very solid 230+ lbs.

You're last sentence says it all.

It doesn't have a bearing on his CFB potential or performance. It simply keeps him from being as highly ranked as he might otherwise be .

You never know with wrestling. Kids move up in weight more than they used to. With the new weight restrictions placed on wrestling, you can't cut as much weight as used to be able to do. I could see him moving up to 220 weight class for this season so he doesn't lose weight. We had a kid here in WV that decided he wanted to keep his weight up to be ready for WVU. He was a 245 lbs. LB/FB, but was a State Champion at 220. He decided to wrestle in the 285 heavyweight class and won the it.
