Never underestimate the power of the NFL brand they brought in. They have assembled a good staff. Will it equal wins? Who knows. I do know they have kids talking. It's a retooled brand for Illinois.

Committed to Illinois, who is the current favorite for 5* ATH Isaiah Williams as well.

Anything to make Nebraska’s life tougher

They also hired Williams' HS coach a few months ago. The last time Illinois had a QB named Isaiah Williams, it was the guy they called Juice. About 10 years ago.

Oh, and they've told Williams they'll keep him at QB.

Illinois is at the top of Williams' list for a couple of reasons:

They hired his HS coach.

They're bringing him in as a QB. Nebraska was the only other school that promised that.

Worth noting Illinois signed two players from Beason's high school in this past class.
