I have no idea why he doesn't have offers right now. Sign me up for Pippens as our 2019 NT recruit. He's overwhelming guys in big time Texas 6A football. This was the 2019 DeSoto offer I'd been waiting for.

My best guess on the lack of offers is that I'm not sure about the 6'1" listing. I sure as heck don't believe the 290 lbs either - no way he isn't above that.

I would question the 6'1" but don't care.

For those of you who are old enough to remember he reminds me of Ruben Carter of the Broncos. Carter was only about 5'10" but dominated his space on the line of scrimmage.

This kid in the tape is going against some good sized OL and they don't move him. He has good lateral movement and balance.

Our defense requires some guys on the DL who won't get moved off the ball, this guy looks like he fits the bill.

He gets off blockers and closes very well, too. That's what jumped out to me. Guys who looked like they were blocking him were just "there" and were nowhere close to controlling him, turning him or even disrupting him. So once he located the ball carrier he was able to explode into making a tackle.
