2014 Transfer List

This past season Fortune’s role grew as his shot became more dependable. He started every game and scored 8.4 points a night. He hit 35 percent of his 3-pointers and finished second on the team to star guard Bryce Cotton with 56 threes. His forte seemed to be the clutch 3-pointer, some of which were followed by fouls from a charging defender. He converted vital four-point plays in a double overtime loss to Villanova and a big late-season win over Marquette.

Wouldn't complain if CU got him. I don't think CU needs someone to come in immediately unless it is a stretch 4 that can provide immediate impact. If it is a SG, would get more time a season from now once Askia graduates.

Fortune would be in the position that Carlon was. Or at least similar. Carlon came in as a transfer with a "clutch gene" rep and practiced a year while sitting out. Put him in position to take over the leadership role of departing senior Cory Higgins and clutch scorer role from departing lottery pick Alec Burks. All Carlon did was win MVP of the Pac-12 tournament, lead the Buffs to the title, and carry us into the 2nd round of the NCAAs. Fortune would be asked to step into the leadership and "clutch gene" role of Askia Booker.

I think fortune would be a solid get. There's something about someone with a "clutch gene".
Hell, despite everything else, we almost snuck into the sweet 16 that year.

That's a weird one. Kid started every game for them last year.

Sounds to me that there's issues in Fort Fun, or guys just don't believe they will win any games and want some new scenery.

Rumors of interest from UCLA, Mizzou, and Cinnci. If those rumors are indeed accurate, I would bail too.

It would be good Fortune if we could get another Carlon Brown for this team

Interesting. That's going to be a monster class. Fortune, Gordon, Fletcher, Hopkins, King, Thomas.

Happy to have him but it seems like an unusual fit

Think Tad redshirts anyone this season then to balance things a bit? Also is Fortune going to be available immediately or is he going to have to sit?

:woot:

That's great news, and will really help us out after Ski is gone. Good job Tad.
