Thought I'd create this thread to keep up with off-season golf news (in line with threads we've already created for other Olympic sports).
Anyway, the 1st thing I saw that made me start this thread is that next year senior Buff (from Germany) Jeremy Paul has impressively made the cut at the 2016 BMW International Open, this week's European Tour stop, being contested at Golf Club Gut Lärchenhof, near Cologne Germany. Jeremy is at -2, while the cut line was at -1. Among names I recognize, that puts him 3 strokes behind Sergio Garcia, and 2 strokes ahead of current European Tour Money list leader Danny Willett, who didn't make the cut. (The 3 leaders, which includes Henrik Stenson, are at -11.)
Jeremy's twin brother Yannik missed the cut at +7.
(As I already mentioned in the "transfer thread", Yannik already provided what I'm sure is some great news for the golf team as he decided to come back to CU after leaving school before last academic year/ season. If interested and not already noted, folk can go to Post #57 at http://www.allbuffs.com/threads/oly...-outgoing-and-other-roster-news.105930/page-2 for more detail about that.)
Leaderboard for the BMW International (to keep up with Jeremy during tomorrow's and Sunday's rounds)- http://www.bmw-golfsport.com/en/tournaments/bmw-international-open/home/leaderboard.html
