2017 College Football News

I hate ohio st, but there's no doubt at all in my mind that they're the 2nd best team in the country right now.

Media rankings are always stupid and inaccurate.

Out of all the ****ty teams in this country this board decides to pick on Wisconsin and Stanford, something is seriously wrong.

I kid about Wisconsin. I have had good experiences with people from there who seem to be pretty genuine and easy going. I also look at their program as an example of where I would like and think CU can be. They haven't sold their souls to win yet still have had a lot of success, and not necessarily needed to buy a team full of mercenary stars to do it.

Stanford I also respect. A great school that has managed to be better than solid on the field without going all SEC/SWC/Baylor.

Can I get some chunky white girls from Wisconsin to feed me cheese? :ROFLMAO:

Hey Mtn, you're livin' a Dream!! And double down on the dream if the Badgers are on a big screen TV in a beer bar....And triple down if Wisco beats Iowa 13-10 in 2OT !!!!
I have some Wisco roots so I can relate.

Big weekend coming up nationally before the first playoff rankings next Tuesday.

-Ohio State hosts Penn State, which seems to be an elimination game of sorts in the Big Ten East.
-Georgia takes on Florida in the WLOCP, a game that has tripped up good to great Georgia teams before.
-TCU travels to Ames to face a pretty good Cyclones squad, which has just entered the rankings.
-Notre Dame hosts NC State, which would give either team a quality win.

BUT ALL THE GAMES ARE SCHEDULED AT THE SAME TIME???? WHY???????

Yea that sucks and it doesn't make much sense that the networks keep doing this to themselves, but it's also a bit odd since they typically put the bigger games at 7:30/8pm EST anymore. Same issue last week with the 2 best games (at least on paper going into the weekend) both being played at 7:30 EST - USC-ND and Michigan-PSU. I think the 3:30 time slot is by far the best so no complaints here for this coming weekend. (y)

The Saturday 8pm slot this week is actually kind of weak, although GT-Clemson might be a pretty good one.

Obviously Washington needs some teams above them to lose but if Fresno State keeps playing like they are and goes to the MWC champ game, Rutgers manages to win two more games to make it to 5-7 does their OOC schedule really look that bad with the extra conference game compared to th sec and ACC? I see a lot of complaining but it’s not like tcu has a great OOC schedule (I know they haven’t lost yet). Honestly what really seems to be hurting Washington right now is the south champ is not going to be ranked very high to push them up in the final week.

Honestly, I want Nebraska to be good when we play them. Be more like the old days.
I dunno, the thing I liked about the NE-CU rivalry is it felt like no matter the ups and downs of how “good” we both were, both teams seemed to play their best ball for the CU-Nebraska game.

This is the year I would really like to see Alabama take on 2 losses and not be in the playoff and make for a very open and exciting event. Also would not mind to have Clemson trip up against Miami and not be in it either. College Football needs fresh and exciting playoffs and having Alabama dominate again will turn the casual fan and the West Coast fans off. They are unreal, but always like upsets. (Best upset I hope still happens is the Buffs beating USC!!!)

How can anyone put Ohio State 7 spots above Oklahoma? OU took them behind the woodshed and did unspeakable things to the Buckeyes in Columbus.

Completely agree. OU may have a bad loss against ISU at home although ISU is looking pretty decent at this point, but OU has the most impressive win of any team in the country winning by 2 TD's in Columbus.

Crazy how an undefeated team actually dropped 2 spots in the AP poll after a 28 point road victory over another P5 team. Such is life in 2017 for Wisconsin.

Isn't this the same university that had its basketball arena built by an Indian casino? Weird. I have to assume that the local Indians aren't offended when they're investing in the university like that.
