Usually more a celebration of the coming season(s) rather than a source for "hard" news, but wanted to start this thread anyways to collect anything of interest arising from the Pac 12 Media Days being held for basketball over the next couple days.

Women's-
10/11/17 (today)
- Program starts at noon MT on all the Pac 12 Network Channels, and goes through 3:30 PM (MT)-
Per http://pac-12.com/womens-basketball/media-day , looks like Kennedy Leonard and Alexis Robinson are representing the Buffs, and are scheduled for their TV slot at 12:58 PM MT, while Coach (Edit) Payne is scheduled on at 2:41 PM MT.

Men's-
10/12/17-
Same Pac 12 Network program times as the women, noon to 3:30 PM MT.
Per http://pac-12.com/article/2017/10/0...etball-media-day-tv-info-and-how-watch-online , Coach Boyle is scheduled on TV at 1:10 PM MT, with players George King & Tory Miller-Stewart scheduled right after at 1:15. The men's schedule also references a media podium (assume press conference Q & A available online?), with the Buffs scheduled for 2:10 PM MT.

Tenth seems like a reasonable spot to pick the Buffs. Lots of new faces and perhaps the only one of the returnees that is a sure bet to be consistent from the beginning is Kennedy.

Looks like a good year for the Men to be rebuilding in the Pac-12. Other than Arizona and USC, the rest of the conference is very beatable. Opportunity for a young team to surprise.

Figured I'd just bump this thread for anything arising from tomorrow's CU Media Day for the winter sports (basketball and skiing). Preview article at http://www.cubuffs.com/news/2017/10...ing-media-day-on-cubuffs-social-channels.aspx .

Dallas Walton getting featured a lot more than I would have expected. Could he be the positive surprise that elevates this year's team?

Would be nice. He's got quite a personality.

Also, Battey has been given the green light to shoot 3s.

Ariana Freeman is, frankly, great. Energy and knowledge.

twitter link fixed for Coach (edit) Payne's presser so it can be viewed within the tweet -

I’ve been saying this for awhile in a couple threads. Nikolic is the most obvious candidate to get the RS. We can’t have a 7 player class. Too unbalanced.
good point. That's a for sure. The curious thing to me is the 2d.

hate the idea of keeping any of the freshman off the court...but does Battey make sense? in theory, he'll be sharing playing time with Tory, Lucas, Dallas, Bey, and Strating

Sat all of last year due to high school eligibility battle. Don't think it's a good idea for him to not play a game that has any meaning for two years.

We're gonna need Battey. Not sure we can rely on Tory and Walton by themselves for an entire season.
