2024-25 Coaching Carousel

if you can add Knowles to your staff it's a good thing.

Hiring Knowles because he's telling you his girlfriend is more important because he's got a NC and wants a raise. feels like not a good move.

OU's D was not the problem last year.

Literally, the worst offense line ever last year i saw. it was like CU against UCLA in Prime year 1. every game.

seems weird, but rock on weirdness...

This is a good move for them because its going to allow Venables to be a CEO coach. You're not going to hire somebody with the rep Knowles has and then meddle with him.

I hadn't heard of him. To save anyone else the search, he was fired for "research misconduct".
Surprised Nicolas Cage GIF

It takes a lot to get fired as a tenured professor. Remember Ward Churchill?
I do. I took his "FBI on Ruby Ridge" class. The two required textbooks were books he authored. It later turned out the two books were full of plagiarism. Only a small segment of the class was focused on Ruby Ridge and the Pine Ridge Reservation. It was mostly focused on the history of, and significant events perpetrated by the FBI.

However, the thing I remember most is that some coeds seemed enamored with him and he seemed to interact with them in a way I thought inappropriate for a professor.

Who, the current guy or Churchill?

(Fyi: nearly all of us know the Churchill back story, I'm just curious what someone coming at it with zero knowledge or prejudice would conclude after a Google search or two. )

Churchill. I made it as far as his wiki page.
