2024 QB Battle - Excluding Shedeur of course.

Thanks for the analysis.

Glad to have a couple serious athletes with upside.

I love the idea of Taylor being molded into a Cam Newton clone. Cam did little in 2 years at Florida, went JUCO and then exploded at Auburn (2800 yds passing, 30 TDs / 1400 yds rushing 20 TDs).

Also, still hoping Antw1n Hill comes back.

I don't know if Cam Newton is possible outcome. He doesn't quite have the lower body build nor does he have the elite elusiveness Cam had even going to Blinn. Elite elusiveness is a cheat code for a QB, especially in college football, see Vick, Lamar, and Cam.

His arm strength is insane but he has a lot of control issues. Add the decision making and he's gonna take time. He's gonna be a better pro than college QB. Arm strength is critical in the NFL. Especially with the northeast, rocky mountains, and midwest based teams where the weather plays a major factor.

I don't believe Hill can beat out any of these guys as a true freshman unless he gets much better. In his class, I only see two QBs ready day 1 and that's Bryce and Juju and Juju maybe a stretch. In the recent QB class we had, none are ready day 1. As hyped as the previous class with Arch was, none was ready day 1 either. You gotta be mentally, physically, and ability ready and that's hard to do with the COVID era where defenses have 23 year Olds all over the place. We are still in the COVID era till next year which is the last year of the COVID era. In 2026, we may have some medical COVID guys but that's gonna be a small percentage.
