As an aside, Texas loses a ton on D.....and with the rigors of an SEC schedule and no longer playing 75% of "away" games in the state of Texas (as in the Big XII).....don't see the Horns at 2.

the expanded playoffs are the next big landslide of change in cfb of course.
a lot of teams are going to get a chance on the field and most of them will be routinely exposed. the gap between the true power programs and everyone else is growing.
we are going to be in the mix. if we want to jump from in the mix to actual contender, then it is going to take multiple seasons of groundwork.
anyone can beat anyone on any weekend but there are a handful of programs built at another level and breaking into that club is ****ing hard.
i am super stoked to watch it play out and having a reasonable hope we can keep moving up the food chain. this is a remarkable turnaround of fortune for us.

Dude, that would almost be worth the eyerolls if OSU/Michigan/Bama/LSU/Georgia etc ended up doing something like that.
I could totally see it being something we pulled off though. Going like 12-3 but losing to someone like Utah 3 times.
