Signed to CU '24 DC OT Jordan Seaton

Season 8 Wtf GIF by The Office

Colorado desperately needed to upgrade its offensive line after the Buffaloes struggled to both run block and pass protect this season. And while Colorado coach Deion Sanderswent hard in the transfer portal to land experienced options, the Buffaloes shocked on the recruiting trail as well when five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton -- the nation's No. 1 offensive tackle prospect -- committed to the Buffs. But with the early signing period set to begin Wednesday, 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong reported in his intel Tuesday heading into Signing Day (VIP) that Colorado faced a battle to keep Seaton’s commitment, with the player himself indicating on social media that he has a tough decision to make.

Wiltfong pointed out that Seaton picking Colorado was a surprise in itself, given some of the other programs -- Tennessee, Oregon, Florida, Alabama, Maryland and Ohio State -- involved in his recruitment heading into the announcement of his Colorado pledge.

“Going into that announcement Tennessee, Oregon and Ohio State were three programs that had some buzz to it,” Wiltfong wrote. “Ducks head Coach Dan Lanning went in-home with Seaton after he gave his verbal to Sanders and company. Another program that hasn’t gone away is Maryland. Head coach Mike Locksley is one of Seaton’s longest-standing relationships, and originally coming up with Washington (DC) St. John’s, he has a lot of ties to the region.”

247 morning update sounds like Maryland
Sounds like Maryland is still in the mix for five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton, who committed to Colorado on Dec. 7. If he flips to the Terrapins, this would be a Mike Locksley special, the one recruit the Terrapins head man locks in on at the beginning of the process, which for Seaton started nearly four years ago, and stays on top of. Seaton is the No. 1 offensive tackle in the land per 247Sports.
The latest from Wiltfong.
