Yeah, I’m not saying speed is that big of a deal for an IDL but he almost ran a 6.0 40. At some point he’s just not athletic enough to play in the league. If you’re going to be undersized, you have to be able to move.

No invite much less an invite to the CFL. Which is crazy because he's one of our most productive players. He just tested so poorly. Reminds me of Aqeel Glass. Beast in the SWAC and should have been drafted ability wise but he tested so poorly. It's insane. He made Tom Brady look like Michael Vick. He did get invited to play with Tampa and Brady and ended up playing pro ball in Germany. I still think teams are sleeping on Chidozie. He's a much better DT than most of the late round NTs taken.

Those are all good insight from the comments above. I thought he would get a shot since he seemed to be a hard worker and gamer. Could be lack of talent, but also maybe he just does not fit well position-ally on an NFL DLine. Perhaps, a tweener at positions without the ability to truly excel at either. It is a huge jump from college to grown men in the NFL.

As Belli said, if you can do it and do it well on Saturdays, you should be given a chance to do it on Sundays. It's not like we are talking about someone who lacks productivity. We know exactly what he is and he was damn good at it too.

Exactly, rookie mini camp have Basketball players who never Football before and guys from cross sports like Rugby. We aren't talking about getting drafted. We are talking about rookie mini camp. Mayers got two invites he's going to. He wasn't even in the rotation much on a terrible OL.
