#3 in the Pac 12 behind Arizona (#1) and UCLA (#2), which I don't think anyone will have any complaints there. They really like Boyle over there, and with good reason .

3. COLORADO (A-): Colorado made great strides under Tad Boyle in their first year in the Pac-12 and this class will continue that trend. Josh Scott is a legit in-state big man who gives them size inside and more legitimacy in their home state that is starting to produce more quality players. Another one of those players is Wesley Gordon. The Colordado Springs big man is a rebounder/shot blocker who will give the Buffs depth. Xavier Johnson is an athletic lefty who has the potential to be a big time scorer down the line. Xavier Talton is a hot-shooting point guard, while Eli Stalzer gives them a shooter at the two. Chris Jenkins is a three-four combo forward who has to find a role.
2012 signees: Josh Scott (6-10 C, 215, Monument, CO, Lewis-Palmer HS); Xavier Johnson (6-6 SF, 185, Temecula, CA, Mater Dei HS); Wesley Gordon (6-8 PF, 220, Colorado Springs, CO, Sierra HS); Xavier Talton (6-0 PG, 160, Sterling, CO, Sterling HS); Eli Stalzer (6-3 PG/SG, 185, Santa Ana, CA, Mater Dei HS); and Chris Jenkins (6-6 SF, 185, Detroit, MI, Univ. of Detroit Jesuit HS).
Gary’s take: I like the fact the Buffs protected their home turf with three recruits from the state, headlined by Josh Scott. Also, the late addition of Eli Stalzer is big. Stalzer is a gritty combo guard who knows how to win games and play in the shadows of stars. Three years from now he could be running the show at CU and few fans will complain.
Brad’s take: This is a very nice class for Boyle and the Buffs. They have a player at every position, plus Jenkins who could be a nice role player off the bench. Scott is the gem and could be one of the better big men in the Pac-12 sooner rather than later. Gordon compliments Scott very well, while Johnson is a very intriguing wing. Talton and Stalzer can both shoot, but have to better develop at their respective positions. Two or three seasons from now we will look back at this being a very important class.
