Koa Peat looks really damn good. His father was an offensive lineman in the NFL. Brother is also an NFL lineman (3x Pro Bowler). Reminds of Banchero (but not as tall) or AG (but probably not as athletic).

VT handles Charleston Southern.

My brother was convinced (by Twitter sources) that James Franklin was going to named the next football HC during tonight's hoops game. That did not happen, he was disappointed.

But, Tech is 1-0. I'll take it

Former Buffs Updates: Continue to think the attrition we had was great attrition , loved the Carrington story and feel like could have been end of rotation guy and program player but glad he will get his chance to shine elsewhere.

Harrison Carrington with 15 and 7 in his for game at UC Irvine- think that will be an amazing fit- Flex and Josiah will get more minutes as a result

Javon Ruffin with 12 points, 2 assists and 3 steals a game with his first two games at Bowling Green, another good fit- Would Isaiah Johnson have been thrust in this role without? Josiah and Jalin will get valuable minutes as a result and probably produce equally to what ruff would have this year. While way surpassing him next year.

Assane Diop with 6 points, 8 boards and 4 assists and USD.- Can't wait to see what Alon Michaeli does- heard great things also allows Tacko to get some minutes.

RJ Smith struggled in first game at Depaul- Josiah and Jalin part 2

Courtney Anderson struggled in first two at Montana - allows Andrew Crawford and Ian Inman to have a shot to show what they can do

Great update, thank you for this. Wild to see just how much turnover we had

Monday night before the early season tournaments start means it's very light on interesting games.

Mississippi State (1-0) at #16 Iowa State (2-0) at 6:00 on ESPNU
Santa Clara (2-0) at Seton Hall (2-0) at 6:30 on FS1

Yesterday, I was very impressed with this year's Indiana squad. Absolutely destroyed Marquette. Great mix of veteran transfers and talented recruits.

Is there a back story as to why we missed so badly on Ike?

Knee injury senior year of high school, Colorado bigs historically don’t play high D1 due to lack of local competition outside of Jelly and Wes who grew up playing each other in the Springs.

Was same class as Jabari TDS, Nique, LOB so pretty solid class. Also a lot of people would probably be frustrated if a CU coach ever took 3 local kids in the same class. Reason he ended up at Wyoming was that was his best offer and teammate Austin Conway ended up there too.

Christian Hammond- Julian’s little brother led Santa Clara over Xavier last night. He’s averaging 13.5, 6 and 3 in their 3-0 start to the year.

Today is one of those potential tipping points for where the Big 12 will rank on the computers when tourney selection comes around and how many bids the conference earns.

2:00 #9 BYU vs #23 Wisconsin
4:30 Cincinnati (4-0) vs #6 Louisville
4:30 West Virginia (5-0) vs Clemson (4-1)
7:00 Colorado (4-0) vs UC Davis (4-1)
7:30 #15 Texas Tech vs #1 Purdue
7:30 Kansas State (5-0) vs Nebraska (5-0)

There have been some GREAT matchups this early in the season. Big12 probably loses 4 of those, FWIW.

Graham Ike. He's a 6' 9" forward/center at Gonzaga. He's been their leading scorer for the last three years. He went to Overland and initially played at Wyoming before transferring to Gonzaga after his sophomore year.

I just looked this up, so I'm answering my own question. He suffered a significant knee injury in the first game of his senior year and missed the season. He only played in 12 games his freshman year in college. I'm guessing that is why we didn't recruit him (or stopped recruiting him) out of high school. My question more related to missing on him out of HS. I understood that Gonzaga offered him more money than we could.

EDIT: And his uncle is Daniel Graham.

I believe Ike and Knecht transfered the same year. Both CO HS kids, although Knecht didn't develop into a major D1 prospect until his Jr. or Sr. year at UNC.

Both had price tags waaay out of our budget. Knecht was very interested in coming to Boulder until about a dozen schools started waving huge amounts of cash in his face.

I remember when everyone was reporting Knecht was transferring to CU and a bunch of morons* were saying that Tad is going small time and needs to go after big time targets.

* - I was one of those morons in fairness. None of us know anything.

No surprise…Wisconsin is a fraud

Players era started today-TNT and TruTV basically showing nothing but this all day. Tennessee waxed Rutgers and Kansas looks really unimpressive against Notre Dame. Third time I've seen the Jayhawks played this year and I'm less impressed with them every time I watch them. We need to get KU in Boulder this year.

Baylor beat Creighton.

KU is without their best player - and probably the #1 pick in the draft.
