Signed to CU '25 AL OT Carde Smith

Seaton has been as good as advertised. Carde come on in and compete for RT position next year. Play LT your junior year and go Pro. Coach Phil is coaching them up right now and I expect the OL to become an even better unit next season.
Hope we can land Carde, but I don't think we’ll be in a position next year where we need to start freshmen

He's not in that tier. Give him every chance to compete, sure, but I don't want to be in the habit of relying on true freshmen to start at OT.
Yeah, it's nice for CP and the recruiting services to say we are only looking at freshman who can come in and play immediately, but that's just not the case, nor is it a strategy set up to succeed. Drelon Miller has gotten the most playing time of any freshman outside of Seaton and that's been as RB4/WR6.
