Clemons: Big XII Preseason Media Newcomer of the Year

Clemons should have a big year. The key for us is whether he gets out of the gates hot. We absolutely must win against CSU and it's going to take our A game to beat Cal in Berkeley.

Solder/Miller making 1st team is bigger news to me - they need to dominate like they are capable this year

The key with this guy will be the same as with Simas when he got hot towards the end of last year... you have to find a way to get him the ball early and often in games. Big guys need to see the ball coming at them, throw him a few short passes early. Get him open in some space. We failed doing that early in 09'... back when there was a QB controversy. Low and behold, we switch to Hansen he gets comfortable, Simas started prospering.

Move forward into 2010, we're entering the same QB controversy with guys rotating reps and i'm pretty sure it's going to cost CU, and hurt Clemons progress at the same time. It sucks.

A WR is only as good as the QB throwing him the ball.

A not-so-wise man once said "We'll see".

Kind of goes both ways. Clemons may make our QBs look better (I hate having to write QBs since it should just be QB, Hansen).
