Best conference in the nation?
Oregon played Portland State. Stanford played Hawaii. Cal played North Texas. Washington State's playing a bad MWC team. USC is playing two in a row. Oregon State plays another tomorrow.
The only signature win this conference has happened this morning. Ubben needs to put down whatever kool-aid Canzano gave him.

Had they fired Scott and hired a competent commissioner and grabbed Texas and Oklahoma when they could have the conference would now be in solid shape.
I’m not too sure that the Texas snobs would have gotten along with the Stanford and Cal snobs. I can imagine that might have ended badly

Remember the program boosters in Friday Night Lights? The "He's a big n, he won't break" scene when they wanted the HC to play the star RB on defense? These are the folks you are referring to - at least a significant portion of them are like that.

Except it was "SV snobs," and well, at least in my experience SV snobs = TX snobs + tech knowledge - accent.
Snobs tend to get along with each other a little better while they are counting money.

Let’s be clear. Just as many racists in SV as Texas. They are covert.
I definitely concede that the Texas snobs are more racist than the Berkeley and Stanford snobs.
Both Texas and SV snobs have an over inflated view of themselves and their football teams, and would not have coexisted very well if Texas had joined the Pac-12.
I guarantee you that Stanford and Cal snobs do not overrate their football teams. They barely know they exist.
Just as many as TX? Definitely not, especially after the recent exodus many of them took to Austin. Willing to concede that there are certainly racists in SV. Doubtful that either party would get along.
