CU has rejoined the Big 12 and broken college football - talking out asses continues

Looks that way and also what is astounding is that UA the school gives the AD almost three times the money CU the school gives the AD. CSU is also spending $17M more than CU as well. Even UNC spends a couple million more than CU does. The point here is that the school could be pumping in more money into the AD but those numbers reflect the number of sports CU has compared to their regional peers.

CU student fees are also 1/5 of what CSU students are paying. UNC & Wyoming students are paying more student fees for the AD than CU students. Utah students are paying about the same as CSU students. The point here is that CU students could be pumping about five times more money than current levels.

CU's ticket sales numbers from 2022 look pretty good compared to the rest of the Pac-12 and even the Big 12. It appears that only Washington & Oregon are pulling in more money from ticket sales than CU and maybe the entire Big 12 sans OU & UT. Point here is that CU could approach UW & UO levels of ticket revenues thanks to Coach Prime and CU needs to stop dragging its feet on the Events Center renovations. Build those suite boxes at the Events Center and then do the west side of Folsom Field.

Bottom line is that if the CU students stepped up to the level of CSU students when it comes to fees and the school steps it up to $20M, that's easily an extra $10M for the AD and I think it's safe to say that with that money, the Events Center renovations can occur. If the Bufs get an extra $10M per year from media rights and the Events Center renovations is taken care of, that is where the money for the Folsom Field west renovation would come from.

With increased ticket revenue from those renovations, CU could be in the top ten in that department when you combine the P12, B12, and ACC schools. CU wil be ahead of some B1G & SEC schools in that regard. Louisville & Clemson would be ahead of us in that regard but the rest of the public ACC schools we can get ahead of.

In summary, I think CU the school and its students could step up their game in $$$ support and there is defintely room to grow on the ticket revenue.

Mike Bohn was great at engaging the students. After that, it seemed pretty quiet. Not sure what they’ve done since hiring coach prime. I hope CU looks at students as an investment, like Mike Bohn did.

I agree that students need to be looked at as an investment but non-alumni fans are becoming more important these days and will be excarbated more under Coach Prime.

So-called "sidewalk fans" who didn't attend the university are a major differentiator on which schools pack their stadium, draw big annual donations, fund NIL, sell a ton of merchandise, and pull massive tv numbers.

Just checked after 30 more pages have been added to the thread. Still nothing of substance.

More baseless speculation has been devoted to this thread that was generated in a similar timeframe by the JFK assassination.
 
looking at the announced conference schedule for the sec in 2024.

we have definitely been relegated.

auto-bids are going to be toast next go-round.

whomever gets to decide who is in playoffs is going to take a 2 or 3 loss sec team (or maybe big) over the champ of other alleged power conferences.

this feels unsettling.

Saw UF's schedule. 8 SEC games + Miami, FSU, UCF and a body bag. If they end up with 2 losses, it's better than a 1-loss from outside the P2. Maybe a 3-loss is more worthy.
