CUBuffs.com: Buff Harriers Ready For Run At National Title (Races Saturday 11/21, starts 10:00 MT)

At 5.2K, looks like Stanford, although 2nd, had lost it's runner cushion, as their 6th and 7th runners are way back. For the Buffs, 6 runners still in the Top 60 so have a little cushion if one "blew up" late, while Syracuse have 6 in the Top 43 and even their 7th runner was only in 80th place.

At 8K, Buffs look to maybe be TIED with the Orangemen. Looks like it's going to be a nail biter!

Cheserek has got a gap. Looks like he's likely to set a record with 3 straight individual championships.

This coverage is brutal. I can't tell what is going on.

Scores changing still, but the Orangemen might have a narrow win over the Buffs.

Wow- so far, Buffs showing 6 runners in the top 32 in team scoring, but it may not be enough, with the difference being Syracuse's 2nd and 3rd runners finishing in the top 10, while the Buffs had a lot of runners in the 20's.

How badass are the Buffs when 2 second place finishes are disappointing?

Score (still UNOFFICIAL) seems to have stabilized with Syracuse beating the Buffs 82-91.

Again, looks like a good Pac-wide performance, with Stanford unofficially getting 3rd place.

PAC 12 placing 4 in top 8.
Cuse, CU, Furd, Oregon, Iona, Arky, Louisville, uDub

Top 6 Buff finishers (overall finish/ team point finish)- *Murphy (3/ 2), *Pearson (25/ 20), *Dressel (26 /21), *Saarel (31/ 23), *Winter (33 / 25), Moussa (42/ 32- 6th finisher, so score not counted)

So, Buffs still get 5* All-Americans on the men's side, and 7 overall. Congrats to them!

With 4 of the above being seniors, Buffs will have to rebuild a little, but do get Ben Saarel for one more year, and GREAT finish for Buff frosh John Dressel (3rd frosh finisher and All-American!).

Thanks so much to this GREAT senior class- 2 championships, a 3rd and now 2nd place finishes over the last four years at the NCAA championships. Non too shabby (best in CU history in any sport?).

Now time to rest a little and then get ready to kick A on the track!!!!

Moussa was CU's lead runner at the 2014 NCAA. Disappointing to see him buried.

You know the Buffs are a dynasty when I am frustrated the men finished 2nd.

Great work by both the men and women's teams. Congrats!

The men's team are losing four seniors this year. Lots of experience at the NCAA disappears next season. It's hard to justify a top ranking next year without developing some new blood. Congratulations to the seniors for having a fantastic run [pun intended] during your XC career at CU. Pierce Murphy really went out in style. A look back:

Bummer! Tough to lose by 9. Great job by the men and women nonetheless. Wetmore sounded a bit bummed, reading his comments.
