PLEASANTON, Calif. – The University of Colorado women’s golf team recorded the lowest 54-hole score in postseason history en route to a fifth place finish here Wednesday at the 2016 Pac-12 Championships at Ruby Hill Golf Club.

Colorado, ranked No. 40, posted a team score of 6-over par 294 for a final score of 864 or even-par as the Buffaloes finished ahead of four top 20 schools, capturing their second straight top five finish, which matched a program best at a league tournament. Lee Named To All-Pac-12 Team

BOULDER – Junior Esther Lee of the University of Colorado women’s golf team was named to the 2016 All-Pac-12 Team for a second consecutive year, the league announced Wednesday at the conclusion of the Pac-12 Championships. She becomes the first Buff to earn the honor twice in her career as she was also named All-Pac-12 as a sophomore.

Lee, a native of Los Alamitos, Calif. leads the team with a 72.48 stroke average and has earned a team-best 10 top 20 finishes this season, tying her with Emily Talley (2008-12) for the second-most ever in a single season. Currently ranked as the No. 20th golfer in the country, Lee won her second career event this past fall at the East & West Match Play Challenge. She shot a school-record 64 in the second round of the stoke play portion, propelling the Buffaloes to a first play finish and also helped them finish second in match play.
