The Buffaloes improved to 2-0 on the season for the sixth time in the 21st season of CU soccer. However, it's the third time in head coach Danny Sanchez's fifth year the team has opened with two victories.

UP NEXT: CU will hit the road to renew two old Big 12 rivalries next weekend. The Buffs will play at Kansas on Friday and Missouri on Sunday. Both matches will begin at 6 p.m. MT.
NOTES: Kornieck's goal was the first of her career … Zuniga now has two assists in two games in just 45 minutes of action on the field … only twice last season did CU hold an opponent to five or fewer shots, but the team has now done it in the first two games of the season … Colorado's 29 shot attempts were the most since attempting 30 in a 4-1 win over Tennessee-Martin in 2013 … it is the fourth consecutive season a freshman has scored in the home opener as Kornieck joins Greening (2015), Brittney Stark (2014) and Brie Hooks (2013) … the goal CU allowed in the first half was the first goal allowed in a home opener in 754 minutes and 19 seconds (the last goal allowed in a home opener was in 2008 against Florida).
