The attitude in Adkin's quote almost makes it seem like they were treating this game as a 'pre-season' game. To paraphrase, we still have 12 games to go so this outcome doesn't matter.

I hope that's not what the coaches are saying. I didn't think we'd make a bowl anyway, but this loss puts a tremendous dent in that bit of motivation the coaches were using.
 
"If no one wants to support us, then we'll go 12-1 the rest of the year on our own."
