Dallas Walton Out for the Year with torn ACL

giphy.gif

this sucks, but I"m still very optimistic about this team.

anybody know how this happened -- practice? weight room?

I was thinking just recently how important Walton would have been to getting the Buffs back to the NCAA tourney. He improved his interior offense and became confident over the course of the season. Plus, you can't teach height.

Now, I am guessing that Siewert will start at the 5 with Battey as a key back-up and it opens up the possibility that both Dombek and Ryder will be needed at times over the course of the season. Bey is going to need to be a heck of a rebounder this season - I'm assuming he's going to start at the 4. And I would bet it opens up more time for Schwartz a well.
