Distraction: The Nastiest Hit Buff

Always BUFF

I post stupid ****
This one came down to 2
1) Donnell Lomiti < by today's rules he would've been ejected so may times.
2) Ray Polk < recruited as a RB and converted...had so many PF it wasn't even funny but he put the hurt on some people.

I always think of Bad Thad. There was a photo of him I posted once and can't find. Old school of blood running on his face (which happens when you crush someone and your helmet splits open the bridge of your nose or sometimes your forehead). Looked like one of those 1950s era photos.

Some of you never did 1 on 1 drills with Joel Steed and it shows.
That had to be like having a brick sh!thouse launched into you. I started fully appreciating that dude for the way he took on multiple blockers, owned the LOS & point of attack, and kept LBs clean for like a decade in that Steelers 3-4. They had a lot of great players but Steed was the key guy.

He was freakishly strong. One time I pulled one way and he stunted from an opposite side 1 technique. We collided hard. Later saw my helmet was cracked where the screws hold the facemask on at the top.

Concussion protocols were different then.

Going with Strickland against Darren Sproles as Sproles rounded the corner near the south endzone right in front of me. I felt that hit.

Concussion protocols didn't really exist then.

This has the makings of a poll:

D. Leomitti
R. Polk
J. Sykes
D. Strickland
M. Russel
G. Biekert
T. Johnson

Find their best hit and post it. I am not good enough to do it.

Don’t be stupid.
Now in all honesty, if we are talking nastiest physical hit, it has to go to Lynn Katoa.

Metaphorical hit, Rae Carruth.

Post deleted for stupidity.
There is nothing even remotely funny about your response. Both people you mention are clearly not in the thread for football hits. There are victims of both of those players that deserve respect and you have completely ignored that.

I didn’t laugh. It’s just the truth.
